William Michael Martin Berndt of Buchanan died on December 21, 2022.He was 61 years old. William was born in Peekskill, NY on June 21, 1961 to Michael and Catherine (Martin)Berndt. He graduated Hendrick Hudson High School and also received his Associate degree. William was a sheet metal worker for Local #38 in Elmsford, NY. He was an associate member of the Buchanan Engine Company. William is survived by his daughter Jamie (Ken) Palazzo, grandchildren, Arbor and Colden, aunt Pat Martin, several relatives and friends. Besides his parents, William was predeceased by his brother Christopher Berndt, uncle, William Martin and his dog, Birch Bark Berndt. Reposing Monday, December 26, 2022 from 2:00-6:00 PM at the O’Mara & Carpentieri Funeral Home. A prayer service will be offered at 5:30 PM at the funeral home. A private cremation will follow.
