Sandra A. Cotic

Sandra A. Cotic of Garrison,NY and formally Verplanck,NY died at home surrounded by her family on February 19, 2023. Sandy was born in Peekskill,NY to Robert and Barbara (Turner) Van Tassel. Sandy worked in the Verplanck Post Office before retiring and most recently a Bus Driver for the Hendrick Hudson School District. She was a member of the Verplanck Fire Dept., Verplanck Ladies Auxiliary and the Philipstown Ambulance Corp. Sandy is survived by her husband Michael,her siblings, Debora Vance, Edward (Karen) Van Tassel, Wayne(Jane) Turner and Holly Ann Turner, several nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her step-father Augustus Turner. A Memorial Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 22, 2023 from 2:00-4:00 PM. A memorial gathering will be held following the visitation at Our Lady Mt. Carmel Society, 155 Highland Avenue, Verplanck, NY 10596. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Sandy’s memory to the Ovarian Cancer Research at ocrahope.org or Autismspeaks.org.
