Robert Ingenito passed away in his home in Buchanan, NY at the age of 88, on December 28,2022. Robert was born in the Bronx, NY on August 28,1934 to Frank and Rose Ingenito. He graduated from Samuel Gompers High School in the South Bronx. While a senior in high school he joined the Army National Guard-105th Artillery Headquarters Battery. He was honorably discharged in 1964 as SFC in charge of the Fire Direction Center. In 1952 he met Barbara Lega while working at Macy's Parkchester. They were married in May 1957, and had two sons Michael and John before moving to Ossining, NY in 1964, where their daughter Donna was born. After Barbara's passing in July 1999, Bob decided to volunteer at Phelps Memorial Hospital in 2000. It was there he met Mary (Murphy) Naylor and were married in April 2001, and moved from Ossining to Buchanan, NY.Bob enjoyed Gardening,Cooking, going to Buchanan Seniors where he was a member, and loved to visit with others and reminisce about his years working for NY Telephone from 1956 to 1988 where he retired as a service foreman. He is predeceased by his parents Frank and Rose (D'amato) Ingenito, brothers, Andrew (Marie) Ingenito Frank Jr. (Carolyn) Ingenito, and his wife Barbara. He is survived by his wife Mary, his children Michael, John (Alyce), Donna, step-children Butch (Cathy) Naylor, John (Meliesa), Eileen (Reed), Grandchildren Jaclyn Ingenito, Tyler Gallery, John Robert Ingenito, Kieran Outhouse, Sean Outhouse, Katie Outhouse, as well as many nieces,nephews, and friends. Reposing Wednesday, January 4, 2023 from 3:00-& 7:00 PM at the O’Mara & Carpentieri Funeral Home. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 10 AM on Thursday, January 5, 2023 at St. Augustine’s Church in Ossining, New York. Internment will follow at St. Augustine’s Cemetery, Ossining,NY.
