Patricia K. Wassil

Patricia Kay Wassil of Buchanan NY, age 86, entered eternal life surrounded by her family on Sunday, August 13, 2023. She was born in Peekskill NY on August 13, 1937 to Charles
and Evelyn Miller and attended Peekskill Schools. She married Frank Wassil on September 24, 1955 in Peekskill NY.  She is survived by her children Patricia Ludington (Raymond) of LaGrange NY, Karen Roberts of Fishkill NY, Denise Schneider (Jacob) of Buchanan NY, and Frank G. Wassil, Jr. (Melissa) of Verplanck NY.  She leaves behind eight grandchildren Jason Stewart (Trista), David Roberts, Michael Roberts, Joseph Ludington, Michelle Schneider (David), Jacob Schneider, Jared Wassil and Brenna Wassil and four great-grandchildren, Angelina Stewart, Daylin Stewart, Travis Stewart and Everly Stewart as well as many loving nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her loving husband Frank Wassil, her daughter Katherine Stewart (Robert),
her sister Virginia DiCola, and her brothers Charles Miller and Richard Miller. Pat was employed as a supervisor by Maryknoll Fathers and Brothers for over 30 years. She had many friends at Maryknoll and enjoyed many fun times and celebrations there. She was a devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who enjoyed hosting holiday celebrations and birthdays and was famous for her sauce on Sundays. She loved to shop with her daughters and friends and enjoyed traveling with her husband. Reposing, Wednesday, August 16,2023 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at the O'Mara & Carpentieri Funeral Home. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM on Thursday, August 17, 2023 at the Church of the Assumption in Peekskill, NY. Interment will follow at the Assumption Cemetery, Cortlandt Manor, NY.
