On May 12, 2022, Jose Manuel ‘Manolo’ Triñanes, 69, passed away at his home in Peekskill, NY.
Affectionally known as “Machon’ to many of his friends and family, Manolo was born on February 3, 1953 to Jose Manuel Triñanes (father) and Urbana Fuentes (Mother) in Rianxo, Spain. After completing his Navy military requirements in Spain, Manolo, 25, migrated to the United States to join his siblings and his Mom and made Peekskill his new home.
Manolo worked in construction for most of his life and enjoyed using carpentry and masonry skills to help the family with their home improvement projects. He took great pride in his work, but more importantly, he was proud to lend that helping hand to his family.
In 2020, Manolo retired and spent his time being with his family, enjoying his favorite sport, soccer, his favorite team, Barcelona FC and enjoying the outdoors with a cold Budweiser beer.
Manolo was predeceased by his father and mother, Jose Manuel Triñanes and Urbana Fuentes, his sister, Carmen Triñanes, his brother Francisco Javier Triñanes and his brother-in-laws, Daniel Varella and Joseph V. Picciano. He is survived by his sisters, Paz Picciano and Rosa Varella, and his nephews, Jose Andrade, Joseph (Rocio) Picciano, Phil Picciano, Anthony Varella, Angel Picciano, Nicholas Picciano and his nieces, Lisa Picciano and Gabriela Picciano.
Manolo will be missed and forever loved. The love and joy he brought to everyone will be remembered and cherished by us all. He left us with many fond memories and a lifetime of smiles. He will always be in our hearts forever and ever.
Services will be held at O’Mara & Carpentieri Funeral Home on May 16, 2022 between 4-6 PM.
