Obituary
John Rabias, of Garrison,NY passed away peacefully on May 4, 2022 with his beloved wife holding his hand. John was born April 16, 1928 in Brooklyn,NY. He was the son of Anthony and Katherine ( Vitale) Rabias. John was the beloved husband of Jean (Baxter) Rabias who survives him at home. Also surviving is his step son William (Kim) Baxter, grandchildren, Courtney and Cory Baxter, his beloved dog Sandy who waits by the front door for him to come home, his children from a previous marriage, Peter, Frances and Katina, grandchildren, Alexis, Peter II, Nicholas and Gabriella. John worked for Con Edison and later at New York Power Authority as a Mechanic retiring in 1997. John served in the US Navy during World War II as an electrician. Reposing, Monday, May 9, 2022 from 3-7 PM at the O’Mara & Carpentieri Funeral Home. Funeral service will be Tuesday, May 10, 2022 11 AM at the funeral Home. Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery, Cortlandt Manor. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in his memory to the Putnam Humane Society and Briarcliff SPCA.
