John W. Burke

John W. Burke,67, of Buchanan, NY,  died on April 30, 2021. John was born on July 23, 1953 to John and Delores (Panek) Burke. John grew up in Yonkers, NY. John married his wife of 48 years, Karen Morrella on July 15, 1972. He retired as general foreman for Asplundh Tree Company after 31 years in 2003. John worked for Hudson Valley Bus Company for 12 years before retiring in 2016. John is survived by his loving wife Karen, children, Anne Marie (Thomas) Dalton, Anthony (Kathleen), grandchildren, Jessica, Kaitlyn, Thomas Jr., Samantha, Gabby, Shane and Emily, great grandchildren, Tianna, Thea and Nova. John was predeceased by his son John in 2010 and sister Sue Ann. Reposing on Tuesday, May 4, 2021 from 4-8 PM at O’Mara & Carpentieri Funeral Home. A private cremation will follow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in John’s memory to the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation.
