Jeffrey Rudd entered eternal rest on May 12, 2022. He was 64 years old. Jeffrey is survived by the love of his life, Lorena and brother Darryl, his Aunt Blanch, Uncle Chubby, Niece Jennifer, and Nephew Michael and several cousins and close friends from his childhood in Stony Point. He is predeceased by his parents Louis and Jennie Scalisi Rudd, brothers Howard Rudd and Robert Wagner and loving sister, Lori Damiano. Jeffrey was a devoted “pop-pop” to Aria Kay, the light of his life.
Jeffrey was a professional Jockey and started his career at Calumet Farms in Kentucky. His life as a Jockey took him to several parts of the country where he rode in over 15,000 races In Kentucky, Florida, Ohio and California. He made thousands of friends and many on the racetracks considered him family, especially Arnold Rotella, his best friend.
He enjoyed the later parts of his life with Lorena and Aria. His dedication to Aria will be timeless as he will become her Guardian Angel. He was a true hero, a loyal friend and loved beyond life itself. He will never be forgotten.
Visiting hours will be held on Friday, May 20, 2022 from 11 am – 1 pm at O’Mara and Carpentieri Funeral Home, 97 Broadway, Verplank, NY 10596, followed by burial at Rose Hills Memorial Park, 101 Mill Street, Putnam Valley, NY 10579.
