James Edward Boddie of Verplanck died on September 10, 2022. He was 86 years old. James was born on October 4,1935 in Peekskill, NY to Patrick and Anna (Dulin) Boddie. James was a retired corrections officer after 30 years of service for the Westchester County Department of Corrections. He was a member of many organizations throughout his life. James is survived by his wife Marie of 62 years, his children, Ann(Bridgette)Jukka Makelainen, James (Lisa), John and Michael, his siblings, Mary, Eileen (Jim), Ellen, Katie Scaramellino, Robert (Doris), 8 Grandchildren and great grandchildren. Reposing, Thursday, September 15, 2022 9:30-10:30 at the O’Mara & Carpentieri Funeral Home. Funeral Mass is 11 AM at St. Patrick’s Church in Verplanck. A private cremation will follow. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in memory of James in the name of his beloved sister Ann Patrick “Libby” to the Franciscan Sisters of Peekskill, 250 South Street, Peekskill, NY 10566.
