Gloria L. Cotic

Gloria L. Cotic of Garrison and formally of Verplanck, NY died on October 11, 2022. She was 88 years old. Gloria was born in Peekskill, NY to Henry and Violet (Stilwell) Nielson. She received her associates degree in 1956 from Westchester Community College. Gloria was a teachers assistant in the gym at St. Patrick’s School in Verplanck, a Cafeteria worker at Frank G. Lindsey Elementary School in Montrose and an owner/operator for 20 years of Mike’s Country Store in Croton on Hudson, NY. She was a Life Member of the Verplanck Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary. She is survived by her son Michael S. Cotic Jr. (Sandy) and many nephews, nieces and cousins. Reposing, Thursday, October 13, 2022 from 3-7 PM at the O’Mara & Carpentieri Funeral Home. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 10:00 AM Friday, October 14, 2022 at the St. Patrick’s Church. Interment will follow at St. Patrick’s Cemetery in Verplanck,NY.
