Edward A. McGinnis

Edward A. McGinnis of Buchanan, NY passed away on December 24th, 2022 at the age of 65 years old. Ed was born on May 30th, 1957 in Peekskill, NY to Robert and Maria (Ritornato) McGinnis. He graduated from Hendrick Hudson High School in 1975. Ed married the love of his life and high school sweetheart Rosanne Piamonte on August 3rd,1980. He worked as a car man for Metro-North Railroad until his retirement. Ed was a huge Raiders fan and loved listening to Mike and the Mad Dog on the radio. He enjoyed his Mustang cars and also loved fishing, especially with his nephew Anthony Strang. In addition to his wife Rosanne, Ed is survived by his brother Robert (Karen) McGinnis, sister-in-law, Isabel (Larry) Gallo, brother-in-laws Anthony and Danny (Denise) Piamonte, and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Ed was predeceased by his parents, sister-in-law Jerri (Piamonte) Strang and his Uncle John and Aunt Sandy Ritornato. Reposing Wednesday, December 28, 2022 from 4:00-8:00 PM at the O’Mara & Carpentieri Funeral Home. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at the Church of the Assumption in Peekskill 10 AM on Thursday, December 29, 2022. Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery in Cortlandt Manor, NY.
