Charles “Chuck” A. Budnick , 78, of Hyde Park (formerly of Ossining) passed away suddenly on October 8, 2021. Born September 28, 1943 to Charles and Helen (Lobus) Budnick. He was the youngest of four siblings. He attended Ossining Public Schools. He proudly served in the U.S. Army. He was a “Jack of all trades” but spent most of his professional life as a maintenance man/landscaper. Chuck was quick-witted, always with a joke, short story or a poem. He loved the wilderness, always felt peaceful surrounded by mountains and trees. Loved animals, he often said he missed his calling to become a veterinarian. A loving, devoted family man. He is survived by his daughter Tina (Ray), sisters, Janice and Peggy, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sister Bev and niece Christine. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that contributions be made to the Memorial Sloan Kettering Pediatric Department in NYC or Lucky Orphans Horse Rescue in Dover Plains, NY. A private memorial service will be held.
